Many national organizations are working together on the 99% Spring to take a stand againstcorporate greed. From April 9-15 people will gather across America, 100,000 strong, in homes,places of worship, campuses and the streets to join together in the work of reclaiming our country.We will organize trainings to:
Tell the story of our economy: how we got here, who’s responsible, what a different futurecould look like, and what we can do about it
Learn the history of non-violent direct action, and
Get into action on our own campaigns to win change.The Mary Mitchell Family and Youth Center, Mothers on the Move and The Northwest BronxCommunity and Clergy Coalition are joining together to bring the 99% Spring to the Bronx.On Saturday, April 14th from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Saint Simon Stock Church (182nd andValentine Ave.) we will host the national training including:
Sharing our own experience of being the 99%.
Learning how the economic crisis happened who benefits and why we loose out.
Describing the neighborhood and society that would be best for us.
Learn about non-violent, direct action.
Learn how Bank of America and Wells Fargo have been bad actors in our economy and or society.
