State Representative Joe Sosnowski’sSummer College Internship Program
If you are outgoing, organized, engaged and want to experience working in a state legislative office, this may be theopportunity for you. State Representative Joe Sosnowski’s Summer College Internship is a competitive program that willprovide college students with the opportunity to experience state legislative work. Activities will range from constituentcorrespondence and surveying to research and casework. Each intern will also travel to Springfield during theirinternship for a formal House chamber tour and seminar with state leadership staff.The program will run from
Monday, June 4 – Friday, August 24, 2012
. Interns are expected to work 20 hours duringeach of the 12 weeks of the program, and will be paid at the hourly minimum wage rate of $8.25.Specific activities will include:
 
Constituent services – correspondence, casework, surveys
 
Researching issues and drafting bills
 
Participate in events on behalf of the Representative
 
Work in the community and with local businesses alongside our Director of Outreach
 
Take part in the Representative’s advisory groups
