MANOR REPORTS
Stunning news has hit the headlines in this years local council election campaign in Manor Ward. Last years LABOUR winner in Manor - CLLR PATRICK McAULEY - has announced that this year he is backing the respected long-serving local Lib Dem councillor SUE DERBYSHIRE .
After just a few months as a Labour councillor, Cllr McAuley became disillusioned with the local Labour Party over the insensitive way they treated him and his family, and the way they treated women in the Party.
Former Labour Councillor Patrick McAuley is backing Sue this time . He says: Sues a real worker for this area
local elections are more about voting for the person who will do the best job for the local community
Cllr McAuley says - Although I still consider myself as being committed to Labour values, I think LOCAL elections are more about voting for the RIGHT SORT OF PERSON AS YOUR LOCAL COUNCILLOR - THE PERSON WHO WILL DO THE BEST JOB FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. We need more people in local politics who are in it for the right reasons, we need more women councillors in local politics - and, at this election, for me only Sue Derbyshire fits the bill. We both battle for the best interests of Manor - but Sues a real worker for this area and I would strongly request all local residents to vote for her on 3rd May.
Long-serving local councillor SUE DERBYSHIRE - she needs local people to vote for her on 3rd May if she is to continue her all-yearround work for the local community
Local families
get biggest personal allowance rise EVER
90 a month more
Most taxpayers will be 45 a month better off than they were with Labour - 90 for a couple.
On 3rd May, local residents can make sure Sue carries on getting so many things done for our area - by voting for her and helping her to win the local election
