I ask myself "why?" all the time. I have studied cults and psychology, the more I learned the more excruciatingly aware of humanity's dark side I became. We have this highly destructive drive to enslave and oppress each other. It seems as though humans are a species of power-mongering sadists.

I asked myself "Why do people like cult leaders exist?" then I set out to answer the question with some research. It turned out that the vast majority of cult leaders are antisocial, delusional or both. Back then I still saw villain as the faceless foe that had to be resisted.

One day I came across <a href="http://www.cracked.com/article_16239_5-psychological-experimentsthat-prove-humanity-doomed_p1.html">this</a>. I read it and found that it has been scientifically proven that the vast majority of us are hypocritical, lying, malicious, apathetic, power-mongering sheeple. I gave this hypothesis more thought. From the biological perspective alot of this would make sense. Our nature has been molded by evolution. (I believe in both God and evolution, opposing evolution seems like disrespecting God's glory to me, I'll expound in another note) Those that managed to pass on their genes remained in the gene pool whereas those that didn't were eliminated via natural selection.

Sad to say it seems that the psychopaths and <a href=http://www.cracked.com/article_18468_6reasons-assholes-are-healthier-according-to-science_p2.html">assholes</a> seem to be <a href=http://www.cracked.com/article_18400_6-human-character-flaws-that-saved-species.html">more fit than everyone else.</a> Think about it, the vast majority of the upper class and the vast majority of our leaders are sociopaths. It's sad that the worst of us have an advantage over us. What kind of civilization are we if the elite who rule our civilization are soulless, heartless, psychopaths who are bent on enslaving everything to suit their every fleshly whim? To be is to do and to do is to be.

I bet many of you are thinking to yourselves "James, wtf are you talking about? We're not all bad! We have love, morals ec tect". I am well aware that evolution has made us social creatures and that our emotions and fundamental morals serve a biological purpose. I took solace in the fact that God had engineered good in humanity as well as evil, at least for a while. I say verily unto you, morals are not absolute. Though they are fundamental black and white feelings that inspire altruism, love and brotherhood they can be turned off at a moment's noticed. One day as I was looking for psychology books in the EvCC library a book titled "The Psychology Behind Hatred". If hatred is inspired in somebody for whatever biological reason said individual's brain suddenly switches morality off.

It's like this, imagine you're walking down the hallway and you see someone who you DO NOT hate. Your shoulder demon starts urging you to commit unspeakable antisocial atrocities against this person where your shoulder angel points out that it's wrong ect ect. The shoulder angel appeals to your character traits. You feel that you are not a nasty ghoulish sadist so you move on and leave the other individual alone when suddenly you see someone you hate. It doesn't matter if he/she did anything to you, hatred is not always based on reason and rationality, like other biological processes it is biological. If hatred is soooo logical then why do people hate because of skin color? Why is it common for us to hate that special someone just because they makes us feel pissed off when we see them even though they didn't do a damn thing?(I think this inspired our ancestors to destroy that which they sensed was most likely to force them out of the gene pool) Anyway the demon appears again and tells you to do the exact same things only to the object of your hatred. The shoulder angel appears yet again yet it's mute. Hatred is like an offswitch to our morals that motivates people, communities, tribes and groups to kill and torture one another. (war is their destiny) According to what I've read in that book our morals can be switched off just as Data's emotions can be switched off. It was at that moment that I stopped fighting the "hard fight" of being nice to everyone I met. It seemed highly hazardous at that point.

Also based off of all the sources I've hyperlinked/referred to so far it seems that all humans are uniformly evil. We are all simultaneously victims and predators to one another. If we were to replace those in positions of power with random people I assure you nothing would change. Even if we picked the most moralistic, well-balanced, sane, well-adjusted people to replace them nothing would change. we are all biologically driven to torture, destroy and enslave one another to suit our own needs. We are a species of power-mongering sadists. Humanity is making it's bed and it will lie and die in it (as will most other life on earth), I choose not to share the same ill-fate and brace for the storm we are brewing for our world. Thankfully I have emotions so I have made the illogical decision to stand by my friends, family and loved ones. I intend to fulfill my brotherly promise to try to keep my friends, family and loved ones well. I'm aware that I, along with every human being, deserve to get wiped out by the storm however my "shoulder angel" won't let me let my friends, family and loved ones die. But still, why are we worth saving at all? Why are any of us worth saving when all we're doing is assuring our own destruction? It's almost as though we deserve to be oppressed by the elites.

Speaking of emotions...I understand that they serve a purpose but don't know what the purpose is. Why do we value that which science has proven to be non-existent?
