Purpose is to develop a comprehensive Waterfront Sanitary Servicing Master Plan, to service current, planned and future developments along Torontos waterfront to 2031.

The Port Lands are an opportunity because: It is a strategic waterfront land asset located in close proximity to downtown. The majority of the lands is in public ownership. There is an opportunity for a quick and ecient transit connecJon to Union StaJon, a key regional transit hub. There are exisJng recreaJon spaces that can be expanded and built upon. There is an emerging create industries centre (Pinewood) that can act as a catalyst for employment growth.

Why are we doing this work?


On September 21st, 2011, City Council unanimously endorsed a protocol for City sta, Waterfront Toronto and TRCA with input from TPLC to development a business/implementaJon plan for the Port Lands and review opJons for the Don Mouth EA. Sta from the agencies convened working groups in October 2011 with the assistance of specialized consultants, to complete this work. Public consultaJon was a considered a key component of this work. A SAC and LUAC was created to advise sta and the consultants on the nding of the project as it moves forward.

Next Steps
End of April, 2012 Consultants complete their draM report to the City, Waterfront Toronto and TRCA. AddiJonal consultaJon expected near the end of April. This will focus on the nal results of the consultant work. June 12th, 2012 City sta report to the ExecuJve Commihee with recommendaJons. July 11 & 12th, 2012 City Council considers sta report. October 28, 2012 Don Mouth EA Pause expires.
