PROTESTORS TARGETINGSHERIFF ARPAIO . . .AGAIN
(Phoenix, AZ) A national legislative organization has localprotestors fired up over a scheduled summit in Scottsdale thisNovember and they aim to focus much of their anger and energyagainst Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.The American Legislative Exchange Council or ALEC will be inScottsdale on November 30, 2011, for its annual State and NationalPolicy Summit. ALEC is described on its website as a nonpartisanindividual membership organization of state legislators whichfavors federalism and conservative public policy solutions.Protesting that summit will be AZ Resists ALEC, which isencouraging people to travel here from Tucson, Flagstaff, andelsewhere around the state to make their voice heard against thesummit.Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was recently informed thatAZ Resists ALEC is planning a protest outside of the Wells FargoBuilding which currently serves as the administrative headquarters
