Peace Corps Representative Graduate Student Assistantship (GSA) Office of International Programs

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2012 Position Description: The successful candidate will design and implement a recruitment plan to increase awareness of Peace Corps among CSU students, the residents of Fort Collins and Northern Colorado. The representative will have enthusiasm for Peace Corps service and its goals and mission. The representative will interview and evaluate candidates as well as process qualified applicants for the Peace Corps. The representative will also provide support for the Peace Corps Masters International program. Requirements: Must have successfully completed Peace Corps service by employment start date Must be currently enrolled as a graduate student in good standing or be admitted and enroll as a graduate student at CSU by the Fall 2012 semester Must be able to commit two years in the position with a possible extension for a third year Excellent organizational skills Strong written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to give public speeches Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and meet deadlines Must have patience, emotional maturity and the ability to observe confidentiality Flexible schedule requires some weekends and evenings Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook Must be able to work independently and as a team member Job Responsibilities: Organize and attend periodic evening and weekend events and community programs Interview and evaluate prospective volunteers Manage data and office files Create and submit activity reports Other Job Information: In-state tuition scholarship (based on full-time enrollment) and stipend of approximately $1,300/month for the nine-month academic year 20 Hours a Week (Flexible Schedule) Start date flexible between August 1-20, 2012.
