Curriculum Project
Title: Fabrication of hybrid electric vehicle drive system Team size/ Duration: 4/60days Description: A hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is a type of witch combines a conventional IC engine propulsion system with an electric propulsion system. The main objective of the project is to switch the power transmission between IC engine and electric motor to drive the shaft. The main components used are an IC engine, electric motor and belt and pulley mechanism to drive the shaft. Initially electric motor is switched on which drives the shaft through a belt & pulley mechanism. Then the transmission is switched from electric motor to IC engine using a toggle switch & electrical contactor.
