Share PrintBefore you transition your Google Apps accounts, review the following tasks and issues to ensureyou're ready for the transition.
Important:
Transitioned users will be required to agree to the GoogleTerms of Serviceupon next signin.Tasks to complete before you begin the transition:Review the options for transferring data between accounts. At this time, these options are limited. Your users can transfer data in some applications from their personal Google Accounts to their Google Apps accounts after the conversion. There are noadministrative controls for data transfer at this time. Each user will have to decide what to transfer andinitiate the process. Learn more abouttransferring datain theGoogle Accounts Help Center . Learn how to access two accounts at the same time in the same browser.Users will no longer be able to access multiple Google accounts in the same browser unless they addan optional feature called multiple sign-in. SeeUsing multiple accountsin the Google Accounts HelpCenter for more information.Make sure your users sync their Offline Gmail before the transition.Each end user shouldsync their Offline Gmailbefore transitioning. If they don't, they will lose their offline messages.Make sure your users complete their own readiness checklist before they transition their accounts.View thereadiness checklist for users. After the transition, sign in to your admin control panel using your Google Apps account(example@domain.com).You might also need to use a separate browser. SeeSigning in to your control panelfor moreinformation.Common issues to be aware of:If any of your users have a conflicting account, they will be required to rename their conflicting accountsthe next time they sign in to their personal Google Account.View the instructions torename a conflicting account. Learn more aboutconflicting accounts. Google Calendar Connector must be updated to support Full Google Accounts.If the external free/busy lookup service is important for your organization, please update to the latestversion of GCC for Microsoft Exchangeor GCC for Lotus Notesbefore transitioning. The purchase of additional Google Storage is currently unavailable for Google Apps accounts.Neither you nor your users can purchase extra storagefor Google Apps accounts. Extra storage for Google Docs will beavailable in the near future.Please note that if your users have already purchased extra storage in an existing Google Account, thestorage will remain in that account and will not transfer to their Google Apps account after the transition.
