Delaware Valley Chapter to Elect New Ofcers
Book, Paper, Scissors sale at Free Library Alice Austin Reports from Rome
In September I was a visiting artist at the American Academy inRome or three weeks. My project was to study the Nolli mapo Rome printed in 1748. Nolli was the rst map maker to ac-curately measure the buildings in Rome and to represent themgraphically. Te Academy owns a copy which consists o twelvelarge plates olded in hal and bound in a book. Te maps arebeautiul works o art! Te staf at the Academy was really help-ul and the library collection impressive. Anyone with a topic tostudy can apply to the Academy to be a visiting artist, however, you must pay or your own ood and housing. Te next parto my project will be to work in Philadelphia on an artist book based on the inspiration drawn rom the map and rom Rome.
