Book, Paper, Scissors sale at Free Library  Alice Austin Reports from Rome
In September I was a visiting artist at the American Academy inRome or three weeks. My project was to study the Nolli mapo Rome printed in 1748. Nolli was the rst map maker to ac-curately measure the buildings in Rome and to represent themgraphically. Te Academy owns a copy which consists o twelvelarge plates olded in hal and bound in a book. Te maps arebeautiul works o art! Te staf at the Academy was really help-ul and the library collection impressive. Anyone with a topic tostudy can apply to the Academy to be a visiting artist, however,you must pay or your own ood and housing. Te next parto my project will be to work in Philadelphia on an artist book based on the inspiration drawn rom the map and rom Rome.
