Mark Goulston, MD,
received his medical degree from Boston University,completed his psychiatry training at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute,and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.He has been a UCLA Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry for more than20 years, and in 2004–05, he was selected as one of America’s Top Psychiatristsby the Washington, D.C.–based Consumers’ Research Council. He is theco-author of
Get Out of Your Own Way: Overcoming Self-Defeating Behavior 
(Perigee, 1996) and
The 6 Secrets of a Lasting Relationship: How to Fall in Love Again . . . and Stay There
(Perigee, 2002). He’s also the author of
