I saw and in seeing saw a vision Eyes of my father deep in wisdom While there may be many who choose

to run, He would be here evermore infinite The wheels of his car, humble, deficient, Reduced and erased the errors so few He becomes a giant as he has been So white as in childhood, his crown wears. Scepter so gnarled so blistered so rare For he had courage and nothing did fear That prevented the heart of will he wields Oh carry me while I pretend to sleep here Keep me from waking keep me free from woe Shade of my fathers delicate willow.
