DIY:Laced Shaft Driven RearWheel
There has been a lot of talk over the years of converting the Mag Wheels on a VN750over to Laced (spoked) wheels.
As with most of my DIY projects write ups, I did not do this... I am just the guydocumenting it. The fallowing is taken from Chopper Charles' Web sight on HondaCX500s.
Randal, well I got my spoke wheel done finally, I thought about using a GL wheel atfirst. I searched a couple local wrecking yards and only found 1 spoke GL1000. I lookedat it several times but the yard wanted 300 bucks for the wheel and at the time I was notcompletely sure it would all work out so I passed on that option and decided to makedisks for my conversion.Here are a few photos:Cutting up the old comstar 16" wheel to salvage the hub:
