InresponsetotheActionClosingProsecution,theOfficehasmaintainedallofitsrejectionsovertheSatoreference,andsomerejectionsovertheCoteusreference.Rambusmaintainsthattheserejectionsareimproperforthereasonsexpressedinitsreplytothenon-finalOfficeactiondated03October2011.However,tospeedfinalresolutionofthisreexamination,Rambushasproposedamendmentstoindependentclaims7,13,18,19,21and24.TheseamendmentsaredirectlyresponsivetotherejectionsmaintainedintheACP,aredirectlyrelatedtopatentabilityandfindclearsupportinthe'016patentspecification.Nonewclaimshavebeenadded.Asshownbelow,theproposedamendmentstakeatleasttheindependentclaimsoutofreachofallofthecitedpriorart,includingtheprimarySatoandCoteusreferences.Additionally,thethird-partyrequesterNVIDIAhaswithdrawnfromthis
interpartes
reexamination.Thisreexaminationisnoweffectivelyproceedingonanexpartebasis.Forthatreason,Rambusiscurrentlyseekinganinterviewinthiscase,aswellasintherelatedreexaminationcontrolno.
