NATIONALTRAININGOFTRAINORS(TOT)ONTHEIMPLEMENTATIONOFTHEGRADES1AND7OFTHEKTO12BASICEDUCATIONCURRICULUM
To:BureauDirectorsRegionalSecretary,ARMMRegionalDirectorsSchoolsDivision/CitySuperintendentsHeads,PublicElementaryandSecondarySchoolsAllOthersConcerned1.TheDepartmentofEducation(DepEd)willimplementtheGrades1and7oftheKto12BasicEducationCurriculumstartingSchoolYear(SY)2012-2013.Topreparetheteachersforthisnewdevelopment,thetrainingofallGrades1and7teacherswillbeconductedinMay2012.Totraintheseteachers,thenationaltrainerswillundergoafive-dayTrainingofTrainors(TOT).SpecificdatesandvenuesarecontainedinEnclosureNo.

2.TheTOTaimsto:a.orienttheparticipantsonthesalientfeaturesandcoreelementoftheKto12Curriculum;b.developtheircapacitytoefficientlyandeffectivelyconductthetrainingoftheGrades1and7teachers;andc.developacoreoftrainersineachlearningareawhowillserveasthenationaltrainersontheKto12Curriculum.3.Theparticipantstothisactivityareasfollows:
a.
Grade1
Theyareexperiencedtrainersfromtheseventeen(17)regionswhowillbeselectedbytheregionaldirectors(RDs)fromtheranksofeducationprogramspecialists(EPS),departmentheads,masterteachers(MTs),teachers.
b.
Grade7
TheyareexpertstrainerswhowillbeprovidedbytheDepEdidentifiedTeacherEducationInstitutes(TEIs),CentersofExcellence(COEs)andCentersofDevelopment(CODs),whowillcomprisefiftypercent(50%)oftheparticipants.Theremainingfiftypercent(50%)shallcomefromtheregion.Note:ThelistoftrainersfromeachregionshallbetransmittedtotheOfficeoftheAssistantSecretaryforProgramsandProjects(Attention:

4.Thespecificnumberofparticipantsbygradelevelandlearningarea,inthecaseofGrade7isalsocontainedinEnclosureNo.1.Thenumberofparticipantsshouldbestrictlyobserved.5.AllparticipantsareadvisedtobeatthevenueonDay0(adaybeforethetrainingday).ThefirstmealwillbeservedonthenightbeforeDay
6.ThetravellingexpensesoftheparticipantsfromtheregiontoandfromthetrainingvenueshallbechargedtotheRegionand/orDivisionLocalFunds.ThoseoftheTEl's,COD'sandCOE'sshallbechargedtotheirrespectiveinstitutions.However,boardandlodgingofallparticipants,trainersandmanagementstaffaswellassuppliesandmaterials,resourcespeakers'honorariaandotherincidentalexpensesshallbechargedtotheHumanResourceTrainingandDevelopment(HRTD)Fundssubjecttotheusualaccountingandauditingrulesandregulations.7.Formoreinformation,concernedparticipantsmaycontact:
