A story of three very different women running vineyards and their men & rivals. The writing gets a little better in Part 2, overall the prose is kinda prosaic, the love scenes seem random and lack originality. The prologue is intriguing enough, yet we have to spend hundreds of pages learning about the three women's struggles (two of whom unlikely to get reader empathy, at least at first) before the opening mystery ties into the heroines' lives. Still worth a read, it's very 2009, with plenty of name-dropping and familiar celebrity culture references. The book would make an awesome movie.
