CHEVRON CONVEYOR BELTS

Mitsushima TM Chevron belting is used to convey materials at angles that are so steep that load slip or roll back might otherwise occur. The special profiles on such belts make increased angles of inclination possible compared with smooth surface belts. These belts have found excellent use in Concrete Batching Plants,Stone Quarries, Road Scalpers, Truck/Wagon loading systems etc.

The Profiles
Mitsushima TM CHEVRON conveyor belting have rubber profiles that are hot vulcanised with our unique curing process to provide an adhesion stronger that at any other place of the belt. These profiles are made from highly abrasion resistant and elastic rubber compounds . The CHEVRON profiles are 14 to 25mm high which have been chosen, keeping in view the common applications of these belts and the material handled. The profiles are shaped in such a manner that there is no need for special idlers. The CHEVRON belt runs on conventional troughed conveyors and the overlapping pitch of the CHEVRONS ensures a smooth ride over flat return idlers. Depending on material, with smooth surface belts the maximum conveying angle of inclination is approximately 20. If steeper angles of inclination are required, this is made possible by the use of Mitsushima TM CHEVRON belts where, depending on material, angles of 30 - 40 may be achieved. An advantage of high angles of inclination is that less space is needed to achieve the required conveyor height and also saving on the conveyor system cost.

Fabric Carcass
The carcass of Mitsushima TM CHEVRON belts consists of plies of wholly synthetic polyester-nylon fabric, which is impervious to moisture and has a low elongation at high working stress. The interply bonding layers are of tough, resilient rubber affording maximum resistance to impact.

Belt Widths
The standard width of Mitsushima TM CHEVRON belts are from 400mm - 800mm, depending on the profile. Higher widths upto 1600mm have been generated on request.
