THE NETHERLANDS WASTE MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIP, or NWMP, was founded as a non prot organization in November 2008. It is a public private partnership in which all links in the waste management chain are represented. THE OBJECTIVE OF NWMP is to promote cooperation between companies, and between the private and public sector, with a view to jointly proling Dutch waste management and related expertise on the international market. Alongside the export opportunities, we believe that our cooperation will result in environmental benets and will promote sustainability. In short, NWMP seeks ongoing cooperation between the public and private sectors in order to exploit international opportunities for Dutch businesses active in the waste chain, and to contribute to a sustainable society. COMPANY PROFILE NV Afvalzorg Holding (Afvalzorg) is a leading waste management company in the Netherlands. Afvalzorg is a public owned private company with two provinces as shareholders. It is the most specialised company in the Netherlands in the eld of landll site design, construction and operation, landll gas recovery and utilisation, leachate water treatment, site closure, aftercare and redevelopment. Afvalzorg owns 4 operational landlls and 3 closed landll sites, and several sites for soil/ sludge/mineral waste storage and treatment/ recycling. Afvalzorg also has a consulting subsidiary which supports local and regional authorities and other waste management organisations. Afvalzorgs mission is the sustainable management and use of landll sites. The focus of Afvalzorg in Turkey is on development of landll gas projects together with local authorities and/or companies involved in waste and landll management.

On Afvalzorgs landlls, landll gas is being used for generating electricity, heating and cooling of buildings and heating of leachate water treatment plants. Projects on landll gas enrichment and selling excessive heat to a greenhouse nearby have been started recently. Because of an ambitious carbon emission reduction programme, Afvalzorg is actively minimising its carbon footprint as much as possible. Due to the developing Turkeys recycling market for construction and demolition waste the network of recycling companies, as far as we know, will be very limited in Turkey. Therefore we are interested besides recycling companies in demolition companies as well and road construction companies and concrete companies. The engineering and production of material recovery facilities for solid waste is done by REDOX without any concession to reliability and durability. A sorting line mostly consists of a deposit hopper, sizing equipment (like trommelscreen, star screens, disc screens, bucket screens, stretch deck screens), separating equipment (like magnets, eddy current separators, optical separators), cleaning equipment with the help of air (wind shifters) or water (washers), sorting cabins and conveyor systems. Furthermore the line can be equipped with crushers, shredders, bag openers, presses, balers and grey water systems. The treated grey water can be used for dust suppression systems, spraying systems for incoming loads and wheel washers. There is no standard sorting line, since no waste flow or site is the same. That is why Waste Recycling analyses the waste flow by amongst others making a mass-volume balance. Furthermore a lay-out of the line is made. REDOX will then check in close co-operation with the customer if the chosen set-up is agreed upon. Next a detailed design is made. For all projects an experienced project manager is appointed to supervise production, installation and start-up.
