Representation of faces merged onto one smiling face which givesthe idea that there is a psycho murderer. The audience will feel intrigued and will want to watch itbecause of the mysteriously distorted front cover. The pale skin of the deformed creature representsevil and isolation, which is a sign of this creature is mentally unstable. The darkness-shrouded figures in the background suggests thatthere are killers on the loose and this can be proved furthermore by looking at the gir
l’s facial
expression. The audience may feel worried for the girls welfare when looking at the image.
The dullish blackness of the atmosphere around the house givesthe idea of that evil lurks within it and nothing can escape its horror. The evil looking black mist also
creates a sense of tension because of how mysterious it is. The bloody red of the word ‘house’ gives
a message as to what the majority of the film will be based upon, which is this house. The blood dripswhich are swept to one side represents blood splatter on a wall by the slicing of something alive witha blade. The decaying appearance on the walls and the young girl in thecorner of it suggests that she may be the cause of the ill looking room. Her position makes her lookunnatural and psychotic because of how her limbs are in awkward positions. You can also not helpbut notice that he face is down which suggests he has a loss of control in her own being and isinstead being possessed.
