MINI CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN

Read all instructions before beinning your project!

IMPORTANT!

FLOWER
Flower is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rnds. You may wish to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of a rnd. Starting at top of flower with COLOR A, mr. Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, pull starting ring closed. (6 sts) Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sts) Rnd 3: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (18 sts) Rnd 4: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (24 sts) Rnd 5: Inc 4 sc evenly spaced. (28 sts) Rnds 6-8: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 9 & 10: Sc in back loop of each sc around. Rnd 11: Invdec 7 sc evenly spaced. (21 sts) Rnd 12: Invdec 7 sc evenly spaced. (14 sts) Stuff flower firmly. Cut yarn, leaving an 8" (20cm) tail. Using a tapestry needle, insert the needle through the loop of each stitch and pull tight to close hole.

Finished Size: Approximately 4" (10.2cm) tall. Yarn: Acrylic worsted weight. Color A (Pink) 1 skein. Color B (Green) 1 skein. Hook: Size E-4 US (3.5mm). Other Supplies: Invisible thread. Felt: black. Embroidery floss: black, white. Yarn or tapestry needle; embroidery needle. Stuffing.

PETALS
Petals are worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rnds. You may wish to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of a rnd. Beginning from front loop of first sc in Rnd 9 (Flower) above. *Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in front loop of same space, sc in front loop of next 6 sc, turn, sc in front loop of next 7 sc of Rnd 10 (Flower) above. (14 sts) Rnds 2 & 3: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 4: Invdec, sc in next 4 sc, invdec, invdec, sc in next 2 sc, invdec. (10 sts) Rnd 5: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 6: Invdec, sc in next 2 sc, invdec, invdec, invdec. (6 sts) Cut yarn, leaving an 8" (20cm) tail. Using a tapestry needle, insert the needle through the loop of each stitch and pull tight to close hole. Repeat from * 4 times.

STEM
Stem is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rnds. You may wish to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of a rnd. Starting at bottom of stem with COLOR B, mr. Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, pull starting ring closed. (6 sts) Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sts) Rnd 3: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (18 sts) Rnd 4: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (24 sts) Rnds 5 & 6: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 7: Invdec 6 sc evenly spaced. (18 sts) Rnd 8: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 9: Invdec 6 sc evenly spaced. (12 sts) Rnds 10 & 11: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 12: Invdec 3 sc evenly spaced. (9 sts) Rnds 13 & 14: Sc in each sc around. Weave in ends. Stuff body firmly. Position stem on bottom of flower as shown in DIAGRAM and whipstitch to flower with invisible thread, adding or removing stuffing as nessessary. Thread yarn through opening of bottom to stitch at back of Rnd 13, pull to create an indent at base, repeat if nessessary for tulip to stand. Weave through stitches to secure.

Stitches & Abbreviations:

CH: Chain. INC: Increase. INVDEC: Invisible decrease: Insert the hook through the front loop of st and then through the front loop of the next st. Yarn over and pull yarn through both front loops. Yarn over and pull through both loops on hook. MR: Make ring: Make a loop by putting the yarn tail behind the yarn from the skein. Leave a 4" (10cm) tail. Using the hook, pull the working yarn through the loop, leaving a loop now on the hook. RND: Round. SC: Single crochet. DC: Double crochet. SC2TOG: Single crochet two together.

LEAF (Make 2)
Leaf is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rnds. You may wish to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of a rnd. Starting at top of leaf with COLOR B, mr. Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, pull starting ring closed. (6 sts) Rnds 2, 3 & 4: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 5: Inc 3 sc evenly spaced. (9 sts) Rnds 6, 7 & 8: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 9: Inc 3 sc evenly spaced. (12 sts) Rnds 10, 11 & 12: Sc in each sc around. Cut yarn, leaving an 8" (20cm) tail. Using a tapestry needle, insert the needle through the loop of each stitch and pull tight to close hole. Flatten. Use invisible thread to attach leaves as shown in DIAGRAM . Next Step: Using pattern pieces, cut out two eyes from black felt. Separate one strand from black embroidery floss and attach eyes with applique stitch as shown in DIAGRAM . Using three strands of embroidery floss, back stitch mouth as shown. Using three strands of white embroidery floss, make a french knot and straight stitch for each eye.

For best results: Place double-sided tape on opposite side of paper and cut out paper pieces or glue to label paper. Attach to felt, and then snip small pieces of felt off, using edge of paper against blade as a guide.
