Description
This is an amazing piece of literature. Certainly a keystone for all of modern mankind. The precepts taught in this book, and those of Masonry, really help to give us a greater understanding of ourselves, of the universe, and the nature of God. To those who are Masons and have not read this grand work, I suggest you do so. Much like I pity those who call themselves 'Religious', but merely preach scorn and hatred, so too would I pity a Mason who does not fully understand the nature and philosophy of the Order to which they belong. To those who accuse the Masonic Lodge as being a breeding ground for evil and Baphomet worship, and who believe that Jack Chick tracts are the word of God, I propose that you also read this work, as it is the nature of the Masonic lodge. And as Sun Tzu once said, 'Know thy enemy'. You may be surprised what you learn about the Lodge, and about yourself and your own religion as well. And to those whom have yet to form a religion, or do not understand where their faith lies, I urge you to also read this book. It will help you to understand the nature of God, rather than the modern perversions and misinterpretations of many of the nobler religions. Albert Pike explains well the nature of God, the origin of the religions, and puts into perspective concepts of God which any man would be foolish to deny. To have faith in God does not mean one must have a religion... as religion is merely a system of doctrines to teach and explain God to man in a specific manner. God's nature transcends all notions of organized religion, and this book explains that concept well. Definitely a read that will benefit the lives of anyone who commits to it, be they religious or not. It is a jewel in the rough, and fie on anyone who would criticize Masonry without first looking within the pages of this book.
