It was reported that the Venus eclipse will seen again in the future in 2050. Do you know how this rare Venus eclipse happens? Well, actually Venus eclipse is like Sun eclipse. Venus eclipses occurs when the position of the earth, moon and Venus is parallel. Venus planet will slowly disappear for a moment because it is covered the surface of the Moon. Venus planet seems to move to the back side of the Moon. The moon and planets are sharing a similar apparent path in the sky. That is why, it is not unusual for the moon to appear to pass close to Venus. In fact, the moon appears somewhere near it about once a month. However, most people dont see these events because they are visible in the evening sky only half the time, and then only for a short period after sunset. The apparent closeness varies from month to month as well.

The Advantage and Disadvantage of Nuclear Power

Nuclear power is generated by using uranium which is a metal mined in various part of the world. The first large scale of nuclear power station was opened at Calder Hall in Cumbria, England in 1956.
Some military ships and submarines have nuclear power plant for engine. Nuclear power produces around 11% of the world's energy needed, and produces huge amounts of energy. It cause no pollution as we would get when burning fossil fuels. The advantages of nuclear plant are as follow: It costs about the same coal, so it is not expansive to make. It does not produce smoke or carbon dioxide, so it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. It produces huge amounts of energy from small amount of uranium. It produces small amount of waste. It is reliable. On the other hand, nuclear power is very, very dangerous. It must be sealed up and buried for many years to allow the radioactivity to die away. Furthermore, although it is reliable, a lot of money has to be spent on safety because if it does go wrong, a nuclear accident ca be a major accident. People are increasingly concerned about this matter. In the 1990's nuclear power was the fastest growing source of power in many parts of the world.

Giving Children Homework; Pro and Con There are a lot of discussion as to whether children should be given homework or not. Is it enough for children having time to study at school or needing additional time in home for study after school time? Some people claim that children do enough work in school already. They also argue that children have their hobbies which they want to do after school, such as sport or music. A further point they make is that a lot of homeworks are pointless and does not help the children learn at all. However, there are also strong arguments against this point of view. Parents and teachers argue that it is important to find out whether children can work on their own without the support from the teacher. They say that the evening is a good time for children to sit down and think about what they have learned in school. Furthermore they claim that the school day is too short to get anything done. Itmakes sense to send home tasks like independent reading or further writing task which do not need the teacher support. I think, on balance, that some homework is good idea but that should only given at the weekend when children have more time.

MOVIE REVIEW

2012 is Roland Emmerich's film which uses the Mayan calendar and other end-of-days prophecies for their doomsday scenario. In the Mayan calendar indirectly implied live on earth will be destroyed at the end of the year 2012. It imagines the world coming to an end in 2012. And the world is in ruin. 2012 film brings off a series of wonders. It starts when John Cusack drives a limo through the streets of Los Angeles as freeways and skyscrapers crumble all around him from the shock of a 10.5 earthquake. The climax occurs aboard the giant ark, when an equipment malfunction almost threatens the entire mission. Some people say this film is very great. Because the images on the film looks like real. combined with good sound effects, making this film was intense. therefore, this film received a very high rating. Review

The Signalman and the Ghost at the Trial is a ghost book story which written by Charles Dickens. The original book was published at 1866. It is one of some Charles Dickenss books that had been filmed. Now, the books were published and distributed by PT. Dian Rakyat for sale in Indonesia. This book is used to help the learners at beginner level of English. This book contains 2 short stories, the first story is The Signalman, and the second story is The Ghost at the Trial. In this change, I will explain the second story, The Ghost at the Trial. The Ghost at the Trial tells about a man, George Fotherly. He had a job in a famous bank in London. He lived in his apartment with his servant. He had no wife and family. One day, he was reading a newspaper on is sitting room. On the front page, there was a news about a horrible murder. After he read that news, he had a dream about the victims room that he read before. When he woke up, he saw a strange thing happened in front of his apartment. He saw a frightened man who was followed by a pale faces man. Both of them are staring at him. Three days later, some police arrested a man who accused as the murderer.

Two month later, George and his servant saw a ghost in his dressing room. They were frightened. The next morning, George got a letter from the Law Courts. He was asked to be a member of the jury in a trial. He must stay together with the other members of jury at night. The jury has a job to find out the fact of the case in the trial. They must discuss about the truth based on the evidence from the witnesses. In the trial, George had some strange experience again. First, he saw the frightened man that he saw in front of his apartment two months ago as the accused person. And he lifted his hands up when the judge asking who wants to be the foreman between the jury, and the last, He saw thirteen juries in the trial. Meanwhile in the list there were only twelve juries. The thirteenth jury is a shadow of the ghost. And he recognized the ghost faces as the pale mans face that he saw two months ago in front of his apartment and followed the accused man. On the fifth day of the trial, George realized that the ghost who kept following him during the trial is the victim of murderer case and he wanted him to recover the fact. The ghost wants George to prove that the accused man is guilty and must be punished. George decided to help the ghost. And at the last day of the trial, the judge spoke to the jury. George as the foreman told the judge about the accused man, the victim, and the witnesses. At that time, the ghost appeared in the trial room. But, George was the only one who can see him. When the judge finally decided that the accused man is guilty, the ghost disappeared. His revenge has been paid.

The story told us a strange relation between the death and life people, I think its hard to believe that they can make a contact. But from this story we can learn one thing, we should help each other. However, the truth will always be the winner and the bad one will get punishment. George characters reminds us that we must help to recover the fact. I recommended this book for the reader at beginner level in English. This book using simple vocabulary and its easy to understand. It also explains us about the condition of the midnineteenth century with some picture. Besides, the size of this book is small so it can be brought everywhere easier than another book which much thicker.
