This bibliography has been prepared with reference to the cult film classic The

Rocky Horror Picture Show in mind. All reference sources play upon themes presented

in the movie musical. This particular bibliography’s sources are all government

produced materials or websites, national and international, and some from out of this

world. The purpose of this bibliography is to show the themes presented in The Rocky

Horror Picture Show are not just that of Hollywood or some weirdo’s demented

imagination, but that of reality. Enjoy reading this bibliography and use it to conduct

This article in CQ Researcher discusses the possibility of designer babies. By designer,


they mean genetically altering an embryo’s genetic blueprint to make it smarter, better
looking, and disease free. Discusses the counter opinion of genetically altered embryo’s
takes the human out of being human and the ethical dilemmas, such as the social divide
of some being able to afford designer babies and others who would not.

McCollough, James. “Genetic Engineering: Evolution of a technological issue.” 92-2


(1972).

This is a paper from Crongress Session 92-2 (1972). It is a Committee Serial with
analysis prepared by CRS for Subcom on Science, Research, and Development. This
report reviews the genetics field since Mendel, and various other sciences and
technologies associated with the developing field of genetic engineering, and growing
societal concerns over the impact of making deliberate genetic changes in man and the
ethical considerations of human reproduction research. Dr. Fankenfuter did not consider
the ethical issues, obviously.

This is a report and recommendations of the National Bioethic Advisory Committee on


the ethical and legal issues associated with the use of cloning technology. Addresses the
very specific aspect of cloning, namely where genetic material would be transferred from
the nucleus of a somatic cell of an existing human being to an enucleated human egg with
the intention of creating a child, or a grown man named Rocky Horror.

This book from NASA discusses the effects and summarizes the cryogenic temps on the
mechanical and physical properties of materials, and biker boyfriends named Eddie.

This is a great article discussing a new interest in a very old topic: Is there life on other
planets? This article covers the history (1947 Roswell, NM), UFO enthusiasts, and offers
further information for further research.

This article provides a brief history of the search for extraterrestrial life and further
discusses why Congress pulled NASA out of the SETI project, as well as defining SETI,

information on searching for earthlike planets. Information is provided on NASA’s Jet

Article discusses the possibility of life on other planets via new evidence suggesting that
it might be true. Provides a brief background history, the current situation, and offers

This book is a report of a conference held in Washington, D.C., September 11-13, 1975.
It discusses women’s rights, issues, legal status, laws, etc. I wonder if Magenta was on
the same pay scale as her brother, Riff-Raff.

This is the recount of a 1981 national survey on women’s drinking and their drinking
patterns. 917 women in the general population were interviewed for this survey. Doing
the Time Warp was one of the reported side effects of women who consume too much
alcohol.

communities of New York State. New York is not that far away from Ohio, and I am
sure Dr. Frankenfuter, Rocky, Magenta, Riff-Raff, and Columbia had some family issues.
