it's common in all of finance..i called out to my vp's a lot of bullshit as an analyst..they refused my phone calls and approaches b/c my predecessor was clueless..they didn't want to see a jump in the numbers b/c of their error in calculations. my boss would have to admit they didn't catch it and account for it...if the pres caught it then i'd be fired...i was asked to half and double trend lines

I have been a regulator in the Securities Industry for the last 30 years, and Mr. Markoplois is absolutely correct in his assesment of the SEC regarding the fact that they almost never go after the big players, but they will exhaust all their resources to persecute a small entity. I have classic examples of the SEC being told speccifically of situations where powerfull market makers were receiving preferential treatment on exchange floors while failing to fullfill their fiduciary responsibilities, but instead of going after that, they chose to come after me.
