 Gill-Ville Food  Network Update:
Once students decided on a recipe, their job was to create thestoryboard for their cookingshows. Students used thelivescribe pen to record specialinstructions for their peers whoacted as the set up crew, clean upcrew, and videographers. Wediscussed close up and panningshots and safety tips when usingsharp knives, hot burners and theoven. Students also thought of aname for their show and designeda logo for their apron. Eachstudent has their personalizedchef hat and practiced acting outthe individual scenes for theirshows. We carefully checked ourgrocery lists and enjoyed shoppingfor the ingredients of each recipefor the project. We have beenrecording one show at a time, withKara being brave and leading theway with the first performance.Jacob and Mathew followed herlead and looked like pros whenthey recorded their episodes.Logan’s recipe was created toperfection and was a big hit withboth the adults and kids!We will continue recording andfinish up with Bailey, Emilee, andRachel during the first week of May. We can’t wait to try theirrecipes! Our job is far from over aswe head into post-production,editing the video footage fromthree different ipods. We will trimthe clips, insert text, and add voiceover effects for our finalproductions.
Commercial Update:
No cooking show would becomplete without the ads and ourswill be no exception! Studentshave already recorded still andvideo footage to build their owncommercial for a product thatwould most likely be aired duringcooking shows. We will be usingiMovie to edit the commercials andadd them to our cookingsegments. We hope to finish thispart of the project before our tripto the Apple Store so we canshowcase our work to theirexperts! Stay tuned to learn aboutthe wrap up of this project and tosee our final results.

From those images, each student picked one thatdemonstrated their bestphotography skills to post on ournew talking display board.Students used the livescribe pento record their thoughts on whatmade it a great shot and whatcould be done differently. We usedour new dot sound stickers on ourpersonalized name cards so ourvoice is captured on our displayand others can hear our thoughtsabout our work.
