About the authors
Neil O’Brien
is the Director o Policy Exchange. He was previously directoro Open Europe, a cross-party think tank working or ree market reorm inEurope. Neil grew up in Hudderseld, West Yorkshire, and took a rst in Politics,Philosophy and Economics, at Christ Church, Oxord. His interests includeeconomic reorm and social policy.
Anthony Wells
is Associate Director o YouGov’s political and social opinionpolling and currently runs their media polling operation or the Sun and SundayTimes. He also runs the UKPollingReport website; an independent blog onopinion polling that was one o the most popular blogs during the 2010 electionand is a widely used source or academics and journalists. Prior to joining YouGovin 2005 he worked in the Leader o the Opposition’s Oce or William Hague,Iain Duncan Smith and Michael Howard. He holds a degree in British Politics andLegislative Studies rom the University o Hull.
