ON OBSERVATION
Bilateral foot deformity
Both heel smaller in size Fore foot inverted Slight bony prominence on the lateral aspect of the

foot Skin creases on the medial aspect of the foot

DIAGNOSIS
CONGENITAL TALLIPES EQUINO VARUS (CTEV)

HISTORY
Not detected at the time of routine screening
No treatment given before. Brought for the check up for the 1st time

Aim of the treatment


Maintaining the foot in optimum corrected position
Prevent any further increase in the deformity status.

Treatment plan
First of all the mother is taught to manipulate the foot

after every feed. The manipulation method is to dorsiflex and evert the foot.

Denish Brown splint(as the child does not start

walking.once the child start walking then the DB splint is used as a night splint) CTEV shoes when the child starts walking.
