City of El Paso Celebrates National Bike Month

The City of El Paso invites the community to join us asMayor John Cook proclaims the month of May as El Paso Bike Month. Theproclamation will be on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 7 p.m. at San Jacinto Plaza.It will kick off a month of activities aimed at encouraging more El Pasoans topreserve the environment, save money, stay active and have fun by bikingmore. The proclamation will be followed by a downtown bike tour to updatecommunity members on downtown redevelopment. These events are free andopen to the El Paso community.Additionally, members of the El Paso bicycling community have organized amonth-
long series of activities, including free bike workshops, kids’ rides,
