How to setup Promotional Modifiers for the scenarioBuy an item A, Get an item B free

Scenario: Customers who buy one MS_ITEM_A receive a free item MS_ITEM_B.

Setup steps: 1. Create items MS_ITEM_A and MS_ITEM_B and attach them to a price list. OM responsibilty > Pricing > Price Lists > Price Lists Setup Query for an existing Price List or define a new one to be used. In our Vision environment, query for Corporate Price List:

2. Create a modifier. Navigation: OM responsibilty > Pricing > Modifiers > Modifier Setup Modifier Type: Promotional Goods Modifier Level: Line Product Attribute: Item Product Attribute Value: MS_ITEM_A Volume Type: Item Quantity Break Type: Recurring UOM: Each Value From: 1

3. In the modifier details, enter the get product. Product Attribute: Item Product Value: MS_ITEM_B Get Quantity: 1 Get Price: <price list line for conditioner> Get UOM: Each Application Method: Percent Value: 100

4. Create a sales order having a sales order line for item MS_ITEM_A. Make sure that the calculate price flag from Pricing tab is set to Calculate Price. OM responsibilty > Sales, Returns > Sales Orders

5. Book the sales order Check if a new line is added for item MS_ITEM_B having a zero price.

OM responsibilty > Sales, Returns > Sales Orders

See the item MS_ITEM_B having a zero price on the sales order line.
