EXT. SOMEWHERE DESOLATE - DAY
A car swipes past a lonesome road.

INT/EXT. CAR - DAYDEAFENING BAD HEAVY METAL MUSIC fills the air.Pretending to enjoy it, DONALD, a 27-year-old man dressed toimpress, nods his head to the tempo of the music, missing allthe beats.
DONALD
Rad tunes!Driving the car, STEPHANIE (25), a dashingly attractive andsexy woman, smiles at him.
DONALD (cont’d)
I said I like the music!
Stephanie smiles mysteriously at Donald, turns up the VOLUME.Donald hides his irritation, and busies himself playing withthe window button, adjusting the sun shade...DONALD (cont’d)
It’s a nice car! No wonder you wantto drive!A photo falls from the shade. Donald picks it up: Stephaniewrapping her arms lovingly around a man, whose face issmeared with pen ink.
Before Donald takes a good look at it, Stephanie snatches itfrom him, smiles, and suddenly turns the wheel. He stumblesto the side.

EXT. DESOLATE FIELD - DAY
The car bumps along over the field and stops.

DONALD
(loud)Uhhh...I thought we’re going to theStarbucks.
 
2.Stephanie kills the engine and the music.STEPHANIEChange of plan.(re: glove box)Mind getting me a cigarette?Donald opens the glove box, and fumbles to stop the packs ofcigarettes from falling out- it is filled with them. Shetakes a pack from Donald and lights a cigarette. She smokes.STEPHANIE (cont’d)You smoke?Stephanie throws him the pack of cigarette and a lighter.DONALDUh...yeah.He lights one and puts it into his mouth. He realizes helights the wrong end and quickly lights the other.DONALD (cont’d)I thought you didn’t smoke. Youknow, your profile-STEPHANIEReally?Donald takes a drag, struggling not to cough.STEPHANIE (cont’d)Maybe they messed up. They alwaysdo. Those online services. All theycare about is money.DONALD(struggles to finish thesentence)Don’t get me wrong. I’ve nothingagainst smokers. Not-a-thing. Whobelieves all that cancer crapanyway-STEPHANIE-I smoke because it kills people.Smoking kills you. Don’t you knowthat?
