12:00 Chris Lukach:
Good afternoon, everyone and welcome. Myname is Chris Lukach,
and I am this year’s
President of the PhiladelphiaPublic Relations Association, also known as PPRA.Today, we proudly induct Mark Tarasiewicz of the Philadelphia BarAssociation as the 40
th
member of the prestigious PPRA Hall of Fame! For those who may not be as familiar with PPRA, let me take a moment
to acquaint you with the company you keep today….
The Philadelphia Public Relations Association is in its 67th year of operation. Today, PPRA has more than 300 professional practitioners inthe field of public relations and communications, making PPRA theoldest, largest and one of the most-admired organizations of its kind inthe country. Not only does PPRA promote the public relations and

communications industry in the Philadelphia region, its members

collegially acknowledge and appreciate the excellence their fellow

public relations professionals show in the industry is also an exemplar of

public service.

In fact, one of the key words that we will hear often today is:

 connections
. In the spirit of Mark
’s passion for “connecting” with

others in meaningful ways, we all were invited to donate an item to

Philabundance or Cradles to Crayons, two non-profit organizations that

are making a true difference in the lives of those in need across the

Philadelphia region, and that Mark and his colleagues at the Bar

Association have connected with too.

At PPRA, we share Mark
’s enthusiasm for helping others in our

community and making connections where they count, so thank you all

for the donations of items to these two worthy organizations. On behalf of PPRA, I extend a very special thanks to those whohave
shown their appreciation and respect for Mark’s accomplishments
helped
make today’s event possible
