2012-2013 Petitioning - By the Numbers

We have 365 days from the time of filing our initiative to collect 4,383 signatures (3,131 x 40% margin of error) to place a measure on the November 2013 ballot. Therefor, the campaign must average 12 signatures per day, 7 days per week in order to be successful. Likewise, at an average of 10 signatures per hour, if 10 people volunteer 4 hours per month to petitioning in high traffic areas, it will take approximately 11 months to complete the project. Or if 10 people volunteer 8 hours per month; 6 months to complete 20 people; 4 hours per month; 6 months 20 people; 8 hours per month; 3 months You get the picture.
