The fire scene is still blocked off but most of the parking spaces are open along WhiskeyRow.The buildings destroyed are the Bird Cage Saloon, Larry and Hy's BBQ and Prescott Foods, locatedon the 100 block of South Montezuma Street, according to Prescott fire Captain Jeff Knotek.Another business suffered severe damage, and two others had minor smoke and water damage, hesaid.Several others may have been affected, but investigators are still sorting it out.Authorities say it's still unclearwhat triggered the two-alarmfire around 6:20 p.m., but fireofficials believe the fire startedin the attic of one of the build-ings.The flames were brought undercontrol around 9 p.m. Tuesday.Lt. Andy Reinhardt of thePrescott Police Department saidthat some of the structures onthe city's historic strip of down-town saloons, restaurants andshops were built more than 100years ago.An employee at the Bird CageSaloon reportedly first noticedthe smoke and unable to findthe source, got customers out of the bar and called 911.
