This article documents a) the relationship of Bishop Ottenweller and his views of the SOS community prior to his pastoral visitation in 1991 and b) gives some idea of how the Sword of the Spirit influence was felt on campus via Fr Michael Scanlan (A member of the over-all governing council of the SOS) and the people he hired as faculty, staff and administrators to run the school.
