SPELLING Sometimes when you are speaking on the phone you will need to spell something, like your last name. Since many letters sound the same, people commonly use words or names for each letter.

Examples: - My last name is Dupree. D as in David, U as in union, P as in Paul, R as in Robert, E as in Edward, E as in Edward. - My ID number is 123N5FC. Thats 123, N as in Nancy, 5, F as in Frank, C as in Charlie.
