Some Poets Strategies We Can Use:

This poet wrote about important feelings. This poem made a clear picture in my mind. This poet played with the position of line breaks in the poem. This poem sounded like music, because it had a rhythm. This poet looked at an ordinary thing in an interesting way. The author divides the poem into stanzas, with white space in between. The poem has words that make interesting sounds. The author puts white space in interesting places, or makes a shape with the words. This poem had repeating words or lines. This poet started a few words in a row with the same sound (alliteration). This author compared something to another thing. This poet wrote from the point of view of the thing in the poem (pretending to be that thing). The author makes a thing in the poem act like a person (personification).
