Title 75 of the Pennsylvania ConsolidatedStatutes is amended by adding a section to read:§ 1301.1. Municipal vehicle registration.(a) General rule.--Each vehicle required to be registeredunder this chapter also must be registered in the municipalitywherein the owner resides as provided for in this section.(b) Authority.--Each municipality may adopt an ordinancerequiring the owner of any vehicle referred to in subsection (a)to register that vehicle.(c) Fees.--The fee each municipality may charge for suchregistration shall not be more than $10 per vehicle in additionto the cost of any sticker or emblem that may be required to beaffixed to the vehicle. Fees imposed under this subsection shallbe in addition to any other fees imposed under this chapter.
