Section 1912 of Title 75 of the PennsylvaniaConsolidated Statutes is amended to read:§ 1912. Passenger cars.(a) General rule.--The annual fee for registration of apassenger car shall be $36 plus the amount imposed undersubsection (b).(b) Additional fee.--In addition to the amount imposed undersubsection (a), the annual fee for registration of a passengercar shall include the following amounts, which shall bedeposited into the fund created in subsection (c):(1) $14 for a car that has a fuel consumption rating ofat least 45 miles per gallon;(2) $24 for a car that has a fuel consumption rating of
