Formed in 1999 in the United Kingdom, QUAD was amongst the first companies to volume produce Mechanical DiscBrake Systems in Taiwan with the QMD-3. Drawing on years of experience in the Automotive Industry, the design anddevelopment work of all our product range is UK based and is charged with providing innovative product to the cycleindustry with the cost advantages of Far East production.After years of manufacturing and supplying Mechanical Systems, in 2004, QUAD embarked on a program to introduceit's first fully Hydraulic system the QHD-1 "STING" , Acclaimed as one the best performing and reliable disc brake systems,consistently topping the list in magazine tests and by competition riders.Continuing on the success of the "STING", in 2008 we have introduced the QHD-4 "AXIS" entry level dual piston hydraulicsystems and the lightweight QHD-5 "DIME XC" Cross Country system both setting a new standard in modulation &power in this category.For the serious rider, QUAD has launched the QHD-3 "DEUCE FR" Freeride / Downhill caliper, one of the most powerfulsystems on the market as well as upgraded versions of the "STING" & "STING PRO" models.Our commitment is for continual product innovation and quality to improve the performance, reliability and userfriendliness of components for brand owners & end users alike.

QHD-3 "DEUCE FR" Caliper FrontThe QUAD QHD-3 "DEUCE FR" Dual piston caliper & Master Cylinder( BMC ) is one of the most powerful brakes available with exceptionalperformance, superb bite and deceleration characteristics.The two piece caliper body has been designed on the "skeletal"principle to remove excess material in low stress areas and the finnedheat sinks front & rear increase surface area with the result that thecaliper runs very cool no matter how hard the brakes are used.The 25mm diameter pistons ensure a clamp force capable of highspeed deceleration under extreme loads.The sleek looking BMC incorporates a two piece clamp designallowing them to be mounted either side of the handle bars forrider preference.2
