Supplies are good. Guatemala has ended with Mexico now being the primary supplier.

BERRY STRAWBERRY
Good quality on berries from the West Coast. However, supplies have tightened as a result of the Mother's Day pull. The Watsonville area is behind about 5 days but should pick up steam next week.
LETTUCE
Lettuce markets have dropped with plentiful supplies. However, Iceberg Lettuce markets have strengthened as a result of stronger demand. Quality is good with occasional defects such as mildew, discoloration and cracked ribs.
in fruits are almost 100% sugar, therefore refractometers are widely used to check maturity in fruits. The number will be % of solids as sucrose.
Broccoli supplies coming out of the West Coast have tightened. Supplies should improve next week. Cauliflower supplies are plentiful as warm weather boosts production and demand lessens.
Honeydew and Cantaloupe supplies are light as offshore production ends. Domestic volumes will continue to increase as growing areas in the Imperial Valley and Arizona begin shortly.

Volumes are coming primarily out of California as Texas growing areas face rain. Red Onions remain tight.
Quality is good. Markets on smaller size fruit are strong as demand exceeds supply.
CITRUS LIMES
Markets are steady. Good availability and quality. Larger fruit is tight.
Green Pepper supplies on the East Coast have tightened as the transition into Georgia begins. West Coast Pepper supplies are good. Quality is good. Squash supplies coming out of Florida and Georgia are slowing as rains throughout the growing regions affect quality.
CITRUS ORANGES
Quality is good. Smaller sized fruit remains tight. Valencia production has increased as Navels come to an end.
RED PEPPERS
Red and Yellow Pepper markets from Mexico have eased. Quality is good.
POTATOES
We love
Cucumber quality is fair to good as Northern Florida winds down and Georgia compensates. Eggplant markets and supplies are good.

GRAPES ALERT!
East Coast markets are active as Central Florida finishes up and we move north. Supplies from the West Coast are good.
Red Grape supplies are extremely tight. Mexico begins this week. Green Grape markets have eased slightly with Mexican Perlettes and Coachella Sugar Ones starting in a light way. Volumes on both are expected to improve by the end of the month.
