1 What’s new in the Lotus Notes 8.5 client
This section describes some of the many new functionalities in Notes Client 8.5. Forfurther details on using these features, refer to theIBM Lotus Domino and Notesinformation center.
 
1.1 General 
Some of the new general client features include the following:
1.1.1 Streamlined context menus
Context menus have been streamlined for mail, contacts, and To Do views. When youright-click documents in any of these views, you see a more concise menu with optionsrelevant to the context (see figure 1). Additionally, you can right-click documents to markthem read or unread.

1.1.2 Drag and drop in Notes documents
 
You can now drag and drop text, rich text, and names as outlined in table 1.
