Point 1 – Yahshua Jesus is forever bound to Saturday Sabbath Observance as an Israelite.
“Jesus lived under the Mosaic law (Matthew 5:17-20). It remained in effect till He died. TheSabbath was part of that law, included even in the 10 Commands (Exodus 20:8-11; 16:22-30;23:12; 31:12-17; 34:21; 35:2,3; cf. 22:16; Numbers 15:32-36; etc.) Jesus obeyed the law withoutsin (Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:21ff; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Sin is transgression of the law (1 John3:4). Jesus' sinlessness was essential to His being a sinless sacrifice for us (see previous verses).
If Jesus had transgressed or violated the Sabbath law or any other Divine law, He would not have been sinless and could not have been the sacrifice to take away our sins.
To claim, assome do, that Jesus violated the Sabbath, is to spiritually condemn all men to eternal torment, forit leaves us without a sinless sacrifice for our sins! Furthermore, Jesus set a perfect example forus to follow (see the above verses). If He violated God's laws, what kind of example would hehave set?”The notion that says that Jesus had come to teach a secondary, alternate gospel, one that wasdifferent from anything ever before spelled out in the Old Testament is a fallacy. Every changethe Messiah made could be first found pre-recorded in the Law, Psalms or the Prophets, thisincludes his revelatory explanations about the New Covenant that superseded animal sacrificeand any further need of the temple (Psa 110:4, Jer 3:16, Jer 33:17-22, Heb 8:11-12). Becausethere is no Old Testament precedent for changes to the Decalogue (Ten Commandments), manyproblems arise when it’s said that Jesus altered the law by way of erasing and replacing elementsof it, specifically in regards to the fourth commandment.
Why Jesus is bound to the Saturday Sabbath as an Israelite.
Jesus as a born Israelite is bound to keep the fourth commandment called the Sabbath, forever.Since He is eternal, and will return in the same body as He left with (though glorified)
, He byHis Father’s mandate will always be bound to keep the Saturday Sabbath as an eternal ordinance(Though He is the Lord of it).
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
