Meet the Millennials the new kids on the block of generationaltheory. They are a generation marked by contradictions, connected yetlonely, informed yet sheltered, engaged yet apathetic. If, this morningyour cell phone woke you up and you immediately grabbed it to check various texts, tweets facebooks and emails you may well be part of theMillennial generation. So who exactly are these Millennial generations?Those considered Millenials were born between the mid 1980s and the

they are currently number7.6 million millenials in Canada.This generation, in which I am apart, are the generation that comeof age at the beginning of the millennium, which is where the namecomes from. We are coming into adulthood in a world vastly differentthan generations previous. We are the generation who only vaguelyremembers cassettes, VHS and dialup, and has grown accustomed toaccessing vast amounts of information instantly.We are also a generation that has a bad rap. I cant count thenumber of people who have given me a landry list of problems with mypeers: Our poor work ethic, our indifference to politics, were shelteredand entitled, we move around constantly, we are seem to have toomuch sex
