Billy Graham is a hero of mine. Marvalyn and Iheard him preach at the Graham School for Evange-lism in Cincinnati in 1975. We sat in the firstpew of Westminster Presbyterian Church. BillyGraham up close and personal! By all standards,
employed to define a hero,…..
NobilityCharacterCourageAchievementsServiceBilly Graham fits! He is one of the (Great) gen-eration of heroes swiftly passing off the scene. How very unfortunate for all of us. Heroes are inshort supply and in great demand.Hence, the summer series (June):
June 10: “Gideon: From Ordinary to Extraordinary”
June 17: “Elijah: Odds are Not a Problem”
June 24: “Naaman: Seven Dunks in a Dirty River”
Depending on the interest level, we may add a fewmore heroes.Pastor Dean Kelly

Here is an update on what will be going on with the youth this sum-mer. First I will tell what acvies will be going on. Saturday, May,26 was the rst SNCAL hangout. The address is 2011 C Ave, Glad-brook. The house is one mile north of Union Grove Lake. This willhappen every Saturday night this summer, unless I nofy peopleotherwise. All youth, grades 7 and up are welcome to come.In the next couple weeks, the youth are also invited to stay aerchurch for pizza and we will meet in the church basement, date tobe announced later. Also on that same Sunday I might be starng toteach the Y.F. Sunday School class. So that is what is coming up asfar as acvies.I just want to briey share why I want to do these things. I grew upgoing to Church and learning about God, and I always wondered whyGod spoke to people so much in the Bible, but not as much now
days. I wanted more out of my relaonship with God. When I wentto North Central University I really commied to my relaonshipwith Jesus and I started to realize that God does speak to us sll. Ifound out how fullling it is to have a fully commied relaonshipwith Jesus, and that there was more to being a Chrisan than I hadexperienced.
"No one lights a lamp and puts it in aplace where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it onits stand, so that those who come in may see the light.” So I want toshare what I have received, and would not be surprised if a lot of students feel the same way about God that I did in high school. Myhope is that I can share what God has done for me to the youth andthat they would all have a fullling relaonship with Jesus.
Watch for more SNCAL announcements in the bullens and news-leers to keep informed of the summer youth acvies.
