In my life I have learned to strive toward understanding others and that I have anunquenchable thirst for learning and sharing knowledge. In order to become a proficient teacher I must constantly work tounderstand others, give a great deal of dedication to my school work, and keep abreast in my field. Through my schoolingI hope gain a concrete understanding of classroom management, behavior management, numerous methods of assessment, how to create successful lesson planning, and meeting the needs of various learning types throughdifferentiated learning. I will continue my love of learning by observation of peers, instructors, and seeking personaldevelopment on my own.

Knowledge of Contentand PedagogyI am scheduled to take the PraxisII to show my content knowledge. Ihave a clear study and practicetest schedule created that I willfollow.Test is scheduled for July 12,2012. I am allowing myself through Aug. 31, 2012 topass the test.The Praxis II has a clear pass or fail. I will know 2-6 weeks after taking the test if I have passed.B.Instructional Planningand ResourcesReview available videos from Anita Archer athttp://explicitinstruction.org/?page_id=75. I am also looking for when she willbe in Utah for a seminar; I wouldlike to attend as soon as I can.I will use my down time over the summer (2012) to reviewthese.I will take notes throughout thevideos and use the instructionmaterials in the fall when I go intoto do classroom instruction for myupcoming EED classes. In this unit I willinclude diversity for the varioustypes of leaners.Class end Jan. 10, 2013I will be looking primarily to mycooperative teacher and studentsfor feedback on this lesson. At thistime I am not sure how much of the lesson I will get to teach in theclassroom, so I will also value theinput from my instructor.
 A.Parent and CommunityInvolvementDuring EDU390 I will be creating aJust 2 Hours program for parentsto help in the classroom and showparents that any help at all withtheir child’s schooling showsmarked improvement in all keymeasures.Class ends May 31,2012I will be looking forward to thefeedback from peers on thisassignment. I also plan tointroduce it to a grade team andsee if they would be willing toimplement it for the 2013 schoolyear; otherwise, I will see I amable to implement it with mystudent teaching at the start of the2014 school year.B.Professionalism Dress for success and model theprofessional that I am in allencounters with co-operativeteachers and students. For allinterviews, observations, andinstructions I will be on time,respectful, prepared, and ready tobe the best I can be.
