Description

Yoga Vasishtha Maharamayana is a large, remarkable classical Indian text of philosophy, illustrated by similes, parables, allegories and stories. The only complete English translation is by V.L. Mitra (1891).

It is currently being prepared for publication in the public domain at the Project Gutenberg/Distributed Proofreaders (www.pgdp.net).

This file contains the introductory chapters (and the table of contents of vol. 1) as P2 (proofreading round 2).

Sanskrit/Devanagari characters have temporarily been replaced by [****].

In the first few instances (in the Preface) Devanagari is shown.
IF ANYONE IS ABLE TO and interested in inserting the Devanagari script into the text, please let me know. (I may be able to help with tools etc.).
