Psychology is the study of the human mind, while theology is the study of the supernatural mind. The unified theory of psychology and theology is the theory about the interaction between the human mind and the supernatural mind. The observable consequence of the interaction is the observable difference between the human minds before and after the interaction. The difference is the abstractness, the non-representation of the expression of the human natural mind. Such abstractness can be added to the human natural mind only through the supernatural miracle, the non-representation of the natural physical laws. The unified theory deals with the abstractness and the supernatural miracle.
The proposed psychology is derived from the personality system and the social temperament system, similar to the popular Big Five and the popular Merrill-Reid social style theory, respectively. The personalities are derived from the brain structure-neurotransmitte rs, and the temperaments are derived from the instincts. The five factors in the personality system are Bonding relation-Free relation, Sensitivity-Assertiveness , Distinctiveness-Network, Goal-Context, and Persistence-Updating, corresponding to agreeableness, extraversion, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness in the Big Five.
The combination of the factors in the personality system results in the feminine yin personality and the masculine yang personality for collective wellbeing and individualistic achievement, respectively. The social temperaments are the combination of the yin-yang personalities and the active-passive intragroup interactions among the basic social units. The combination results in yin passive, yin active, yang passive, and yang active, corresponding to Amiable, Expressive, Analytical, and Drive in the popular Merrill-Reid social style theory. The additional temperament is harmony that transcends yin-yang and passive-active, and exists only in human. The instinct for the harmonious temperament is the conscience instinct that is the combination of the hyper friendly instinct and the detective instinct, resulting in initial eager cooperation without lie.
In the supernatural selection, the supernatural selects the harmonious temperament and the harmonious society to survive. The augmented instinct is the biological instinct plus the abstractness through the supernatural miracle. The augmented hyper friendly instinct provided the abstract social bond to bond the isolated social groups to survive the harsh environment during the Upper Paleolithic Revolution 40,000 years ago. The augmented humanized instinct provides the abstract morality to prevent the activated dehumanized prey-predator instinct in the yin-yang moral religion, resulting in the yin-yang moral religions, such as Judaism, Hinduism, Confucianism, and Islam. The augmented conscience instinct provides the abstract rebirth for the civilized people to return to the harmonious temperament and society, resulting in the harmonious religions, such as Christianity, Buddhism, and Daoism. The American presidents from Kennedy to Clinton and the Biblical characters, Moses, Jacob, and Joseph are described by the temperament system.
