Concept Five:

The main difference from the previous versions is the layout of the text. The unconventional layout of hte text draws attention to the title. It also references the idea of being lost in the maze-like structe of the text. The imagery of the forest is also more noticible in this format.

Concept Six:

Simplified version of concept Two. Color can be altered to change the mood slightly. Darkened background and simplified structure have the benefit of drawing the viewers eye with the sharp b&w contrasts. Also the use of lines make the mood sort of meandering r e f e r e n c i n g t h e i d e a o f L o s t .

Concept Seven:

Highly simplified formatting. Formats like this have the benefit of emphasizing the text over the imagery. They also can sometimes stand out more on bookshelf because they are so simple.

Funky yet modern styling that has a more lighthearted feel due to the use of simplified imagery of mountains.

Vintage styling - references classic coming of age novels. Warm yet bold coloring makes it standout. The picture also relates more to the actual storyline than the more modern versions.
