By this act, comparable only to the Berlin Conferenceof 1884 that partitioned Africa, theBritish Southern Cameroons and FrenchCameroun became two separate entitiesof international law and politics.
5.
That as separate entities of international law and politics the twoCameroons became mandated territories of theLeague of Nations formed after World War I.
6.
That on assuming responsibility for thepolitical future of the two territories, theLeague of Nations placed the SouthernCameroons under the United Kingdom Administration, while the other sector cameunder French Administration, thus thedesignations British Southern Cameroons andFrench Cameroun respectively.
7.
That from March 1916 and throughout theMandate and Trusteeship Systems, the UnitedKingdom and France as of necessity put intoeffect in their respective territories, administrative, political, legal, economic andcultural systems that were totally exclusive.
 A.Why were Southern Cameroonian leadersdetained?

B.What is that TRUTH?1.
That before World War I,Germany had many colonies(protectorates) in Africa, prominent among which wasGerman Kamerun. Kamerunbecame a German Protectoratefollowing the Berlin Conference of 1884.
2.
That upon the defeat of German troops inGerman Kamerun by the combined forces of the United Kingdom and France under GeneralDubelle (British) in 1916, they effected aprovisional partition of German Kamerun, giving birth to,the two Cameroons, namely,British Cameroons and French Cemeroun, andset up separate administrations within theirspheres of influence for purposes of control
3.
That the two separate nations were createdfrom the former German Kamerun whichceased to exist as a fact of international law andthat parts of German Kamerun today make upthe francophone nations of Tchad Republic,Central African Republic, Congo (Brazzaville)Republic and Gabon Republic. "Enriching oneself  at public expense is celebrated inthat culture"
His Royal Highness Fon Achirimbi of Bafut decried the duplicity of the Administering  Authority at the Mamfe Conference Supplement 1
This gave birth to thecontradictory personalities, philosophiesof life, and worldview thatdistinguish the SouthernCameroonian from, theFrench Camerounian.
8.
That the UnitedNations Organisation(UNO) which succeededthe League of Nationsafter World War II,created the TrusteeshipCouncil to supervise theTrust territories (theformer MandatedTerritories) to Self Government andindependence inconformity with Art.76(b) of the U N Charter.
9.
That under theTrusteeship System boththe Cameroons under UnitedKingdom Administration andCameroun under French Administration were equal instatus and were registered underCategory B Trust territories.
10.
That recognizing its obligationto the World Body and moralresponsibility to the people of the Southern Carneroons, Her Majesty’sGovernment signed the Trusteeship Agreementcommitting herself to ensuring the progressivedevelopment of the Southern Cameroonstowards self Government and independence.
11.
That for forty-five years, while the anglo-saxondemocratic political culture, scientific andmethodic approach to issues, a deep sense of the common weal, which inculcate the spirit of tolerance, honesty, sensitivity, integrity, transparency and accountability, was made a way of life and the foundation of nationalculture in the Southern Cameroonian.
12.
That the French colonial policy of assimilationas rigorously applied in French Cameroun, splitthe colonised society into “les citoyens” and“les sujets”. This combined with paternalism, imbued in the French Camerounian adependency complex which ties him to theapron strings of Paris making him believe inthe superiority of any thing French (rememberthe French civilising mission which made every educated elite and business elite regard Franceas “home”). The French Camerounian isindividualistic, aggressive, intolerant and hasno sense of the common weal. He has agrabbing culture, is corrupt and embezzlementis his hallmark. Enriching oneself at theexpense of the state, is celebrated in thatculture as “a la Camerounais”, and theirPresident defends it as “Cameroun c’est leCameroun”, and “l’impossible n’est pasCamerounais”.
13.
That thanks to this evil spirit, SouthernCameroonians are referred to as “anglofools”because they don’t use given opportunities toserve self-interest. They are tolerant, sensitive, hardworking, more caring, obedient, honestand treat public property as belonging to thestate and should be used for the good of all.
14.
That a nation bankrupt of a national culturebased on core values that hold society together or a society whose ethical valueshave been replaced by self-interest iscrime-endemic. Consequently it nurturessycophants and leaders who behave likemercenaries to their nation. A FrenchCamerounian and a ‘Southern,Cameroonian are unmixable like waterand palm oil. They are like darkness andlight, which will forever live apart.
15.
That the Southern Carneroons and LaRepublique du Cameroun, though constitutingpart of the African Continent; their distinctivehistorical and ideological backgrounds aredirect opposites which any. effort at fusing isbound to bring calamity. What God had putasunder (in 1916) let no man try to puttogether.
16.
That by UN General Assembly Resolution 224(III) of November 1948, the SouthernCameroons as a distinct political entity ininternational law was protected fromannexation by any neighbouring country.
17.
That respecting this U.N. Resolution neitherthe United Kingdom, as the Administering Authority nor Nigeria with which the SouthernCameroons, for purpose of convenience wasadministered nearly half a century, made any effort to assimilate and annex the Southern

Cameroons.
18.
That as precondition for attainment of Self Government and Independence, the UNTrustees Council in discharging its duty inconformity with Art 76 of the UN Charter, sent Visiting Missions (4 in all) to the SouthernCameroons to assess the political and socio-economic development oft territory. Thisequally applied to French Cameroun.
19.
That in 1953 seeing that the interest of theSouthern Cameroons was not well protected,South Cameroons Members of Parliament inthe Eastern House, Enugu, and in the FederalHouse, Lagos as well as Cabinet Members, declared “Benevolent Neutrality” in NigerianPolitics. To this effect they gave up all theirrights and privileges in the Nigerian parliamentin order to fight for self-government of theTrust territory the Southern Cameroons.
20.
That this patriotic spirit of the SouthernCameroons political leaders yielded greatdividend. At Mamfe Conference, SouthernCarneroonians unanimously resolved topetition Her Majesty’s Government for thecreation of a separate Southern CameroonsRegion with its own government andlegislature.
21.
That in 1954, cognizant of thespecial status of SouthernCameroons under Internationallaw a respecting her right toself-determination, a new Constitution came into force which made territory a separateregion with its ownGovernment and House of Assembly in Buea,Southern Cameroons.
22.
That the SouthernCameroons House of  Assembly met for thefirst time on 26
th
October 1954, andthat by a subsequent.Motion sponsored by Hon. John T. Ndze of Nkambe Division,26th October becamethe SouthernCarneroons’ NationalDay, replacing theEmpire Day.
23.
That the Southern Cameroons attained Self-Government in1954 with Dr E M L Endeley Premier, while French Cameroun attained Self-Government in 1957
,
three years later, with MrMbida as Premier.
24.
That in 1959
,
Mamfe, the cradle of SouthernCameroons nationalism, was once again host toa political jamboree to decide the politicalfuture of the Southern Cameroons.
25.
That from the evidence before us the purposeof the 1959 Mamfe Conference (called at theinstance of the Administering Authority, UK and code named, the “Plebiscite Conference”), was to undermine Southern Cameroonsnationalism.
26.
That disturbed by the diabolic tactic of  withholding the right to self-determination of Southern Cameroonians, Fon Achirimbi of Bafut, speaking for the Traditional Rulersdescribed Nigeria “Water” and FrenchCameroun as “Fire”. He called for secession(from Nigeria) without unification (withFrench Cameroun) so that SouthernCameroons could achieve full independence.
27.
That by U.N Generally Assembly Resolution 1352 (XIV) of 16
th
October1959 the Southern Cameroons wasseparated from Nigeria in preparation forthe latter’s independence.
28.
That this separation was inconformity with the special status of theSouthern Cameroons as a UN TrustTerritory. At separation, theinternationally defined and recognizedboundaries we respected consonant to the Anglo-German and Anglo-French Treaties and
“President Ahidjoused military  force to dissolve the federation.”
Self-government: The first Southern Cameroons  government led by Dr EMLEndeley, 1954 Page 3 After Southern Cameroons  pressed for and obtained self-government fromNigeria, stamps were overprinted thus: CAMEROONS UKTT (United Kingdom Trust Trust Territory). United Kindom chose to ignore the true wishes of the SouthernCameroons people and constrained them toachieve 'independence by  joining'.
