The GreenHouse is a Christian Community Enrichment Center located in theGardenland/Northgate neighborhood of Sacramento, California. We offer after-school tutoring,mentoring, summer camp, youth groups, leadership development, and skill-building workshopsto under-resourced youth. Our mission is
to cultivate a thriving community by nurturing theemotional, spiritual, intellectual, and physical development of our youth and inspiring them togrow to their full potential.
FOCUS & SCOPE
Essential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below.
Accounting/Bookkeeping
: Logging incoming donations, regulating outgoingexpenses, weekly deposits at the bank, creating quarterly financial reports for Board ofDirectors
Correspondence:
Sending monthly donor receipts, monthly donor reminder lettersas needed, orchestrating output of mass mailings and e-newsletters, maintaining andupdating mailing lists, updating mailing list and facebook as needed.
Purchasing and Maintaining Supplies:
Purchasing all supplies and materialsneeded for The GreenHouse (programs snacks, offices supplies, etc), maintainingprogram supplies.
Maintaining an organized office environment:
Maintaining officeequipment/supplies, filing documents, archiving, creating organization systems.
Janitorial duties:
Emptying trash/recycling, vacuuming, wiping down counters/desks,student work tables, computer stations, cleaning kitchen/frig, etc.
In-kind Donation Management
: Receiving, sorting and storing in-kind donations asthey come in.
Assisting with organization-wide event such as Kids at Heart, Harvest Carnival, Melvin'sHope.
Assisting Executive Director with other Administrative tasks as necessary, includingscheduling and organizational calendar.
Supporting and contributing to a safe and healthy work environment.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma; College preferred.
Experience &Industry Expertise :
1 year working in an administrative or bookkeeping position preferred.COMPETENCIES:
